We run our own multihomed BGP4 network, giving us multiple connections to different carriers. We ensure that we have connectivity out of the datacenter over different physical fiber lines and terminating into different datacenters - in the past we have seen our competitors networks go down when they have had multiple providers leaving the building over the same fiber or terminating into the same datacenter which had an outage.

Having multiple upstream providers gives us the redundancy if a failure occurs at one upstream, traffic can take alternate routes seamlessly.
